Hot rods are standard cars that get customized and painted. Hot Rods are cool because of the look. The look comes form the cars paint. Pinstripe and flames are only two of the many styles. Hot Rodders strip the car rebuild the engine and put the body back on. They give it custom rims and a silk paint job. In the late 40's people started wanting custom cars. That is when Ed "Big Daddy" Roth came long.

Ed Roth is the king of hot rods. The first custom car he built was the Outlaw. He also built other cars like the Princess for the Adams family. The Outlaw was a car made of fiberglass witch was easy to make and form. After the Outlaw he made his cars from fiberglass. After that he in inspired hot rodders every where! After his death hot rodders  know Ed "Big Daddy" Roth didn't die in vain.

THE OUTLAW

Hot rods customization first take off the body and pull the motor. Then do what you want with the motor. When you finished working in the engine put it back in and give the car some custom rims and a hot rod worthy paint job. And if you are going to race put street slicks on it. To make it cooler give your car a chop top just cut the top off. Or just leave it rusty. Rusty looks cool. But to much rust...
NOT GOOD!!!
